Baby Swimming

Rusalka Aquatics offers "Adult and Child" lessons for children from 4 months to 4 years old.

As with our classes for older children, our Adult and Baby classes also run in accordance with the Amateur Swimming Association of Great Britain (ASA) National Plan for Teaching Swimming and The Kellogg's Frosties ASA Awards Scheme. In this age group the awards structure is "Duckling Grades 1 to 5".

Each child should be accompanied in the water by a parent or accompanying adult.

Although we do not generally promote the use of buoyancy aids for older children, they can be beneficial for very young ones and may be incorporated for various activities during these lessons.

Testing of the older children (18 months +) will take place at the end of each term to record the progression and achievement of each child. All swimmers who successfully pass all six aspects of each Grade test, as required by the ASA Awards scheme for their current level, will be eligible for a certificate of achievement and a badge and recommended for promotion to the next level up for the following term.

Classes take place during mornings or afternoons at times that are often particularly suitable for fitting in with any "School Runs' you may do for older children.
