Swimming Teachers
Since having our own little girl in November 2007 and due to the popularity and continued expansion of our Swim School, we've added a small but select team of Swimming Teachers to assist and work with Yulia in administering her Swimming Development Programme, throughout the school. This, in turn, is fully in accordance with the ASA National Swimming Plan.
Week by week, Yulia structures the teaching programmes for all of the various ASA Levels and then issues them to each teacher, so that the whole school is always working in complete unison. This ensures that, no matter which teacher your child may have, they will be an extremely well qualified professional, working to an overall plan as part of a highly skilled and qualified team with a combined total of over 57 years swimming teaching experience.

YuliaFor those who may not know, Rusalka is 'Russian' for 'Mermaid' and there could not be a more apt description for Yulia. Founder and head of the teaching programme at the Swim School, her impressive Bio is available on the About Us page. However, with one notable addition, since the picture taken of her receiving her National Teacher of the Year award (where she was eight and a half months pregnant), she and her husband Graham now have a beautiful little baby girl, Nicole who is already making quite an impression as the latest addition to the Swim Team! |

JaneAn extremely keen and fit athlete, running a ridiculous amount of miles each week, Jane does the Great South Run regularly, along with various charitable challenges. Other interests are Yoga and, of course, Swimming. 'Mother' to her miniature Dachshund Wilma, Jane also has a love for quirky cars, proudly owning a Nissan Figaro which she can often be seen in, wizzing around with the roof down on nice sunny days, along with her husband Alan. (We think Andrew Marr borrows it on Sunday mornings too!).. She holds ASA Level 1 and Level 2 Teaching Certificates, an RLSS National Lifeguard Qualification, Speedo Aqua-Aerobics certification, is a Member of the Institute of Swimming and is fully CRB checked and approved. |

AlexWhen it comes to fitness and swimming ability, then a two times IRONMAN competitor (and finisher) has to command a great deal of respect ! And she rides a bike and runs ridiculous distances too ! Seriously though, we're extremely proud of our Alex, although we have yet to get her underwater for her proper Rusalka picture ! A mother of two, Alex affords a wealth of swimming qualifications and knowledge, having taught and coached at various levels over the past twenty years. She holds ASA Level 1 and ASA Level 2 Teaching Certificates, ASA Level 3 Club Coach and ASA Level 4 - Advanced to Pre Competition Development. She also holds ASA Adult and Child Certification, has a National Lifeguard award with a specialist infant life support module and she's an Official ASA Judge too ! And of course, just like everyone at Rusalka, she is also a Member of the Institute of Swimming and fully CRB checked and approved. |
